The New Police Story

Inspector Chan (Jackie Chan) was the head of an elite police squad in Hong Kong. He led his team in raiding the hideout of Evil Joe and his Gang of Five, a group of filthy rich, high-flying, X-games aficionados who rob banks just for the thrill of it. When Chan's entire police team was wiped out by the notorious gang, he blamed himself for not saving any of them and he became a drunkard.

A young police officer (Nicolas Tse) convinces him to get back on the job and get even with the gang. Now, Chan has to get pass his arrogant chief to get back on the mission of tracking down the daredevil and cop-hating young adults. Together with the help of a female colleague, Sasa (Charlene Choi), they study and research the gang's tactics and style to bring them down.


Touted as Jackie Chan's best performance ever, as a dramatic actor, this film is heavy on the plot and the characterization without sacrificing the effects and the stunts that Jackie Chan's fans are looking for. The film has some clever twists that make it truly an enjoyable if not unforgettable action-drama movie.
