Bring it On

"Hey! We're sexy, we're cute, we're popular to boot!"

Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst) is shocked to learn that her Alma Mater, the Rancho Carne High has been winning the national cheerleading championship for five straight years because the previous team captain steals the dance routines of East Compton Clovers, an inner-city public high school. She has to make the difficult decision of improvising and being original lest they don't make it to the finals.

Now they have to show to the Clovers that they too can make their original moves and still bring home the bacon. But can they do that a few days before the the try-outs?

This cheeky, cheesy film is about high school spirit, inter-school competition and bitchery set to the cadence of upbeat and hiphop music. Witty dialogues, students with attitude, smart confrontation and banter left and right make one reminisce his/her own high school life. The film also includes high-flying and hard-falling dance sequences that are sure to thrill the viewers.

I usually don't watch teen movies but this one is so funny and so fun to watch that I can't strike it off my list of fave films.

"May the best moves win!"
